SwimmingLifeguard Swimming allowed; designated swim sector at Day Use beach signified by flags on north and south boundary. Lifeguards on duty from Memorial Day to Labor Day from 10am - 5pm. Outside of this time and in other beach areas, no lifeguards on duty; swim at your own risk.
FishingLicense Fishing is permitted on the beach or at the marina. Fishing licenses required in Sinepuxent Bay and Atlantic Ocean. Surf fishing allowed in areas outside day-use swim beach and lifeguarded area. Bay fishing allowed at marina piers and from boats in designated bay areas. Clamming allowed at State Park and National Park in different bay areas.

DogsLimited Pets allowed in day use areas after Labor Day to the Friday of Memorial Day weekend; pets allowed on the Rackliffe Trail on the mainland; pets allowed in marina areas and boat launch. During the camping season (last week April through November 1st), pets allowed only in camp loops G, H, and I and adjoining beaches; pets allowed on the hiker/biker path on the west side of Campground Road only. When the campground is closed (November 1st through the third week of April), pets are permitted in all campground loops and the beach.
