Lutsen. Cascade River drops 900 feet through a volcanic gorge in its last 3 miles to Lake Superior. Per MN Rules 6100.1000, portable gas/liquid-fuel stoves and charcoal burners are allowed in day-use areas statewide (open campfires require a provided fire ring).
