Can you grill at Red River Beach?
Yes — both propane and charcoal grilling are allowed at Red River Beach. Beach Cook Fire Permit required ($50 refundable deposit) from Harwich Recreation & Youth Dept; grill/cook fire must be enclosed, placed 25+ ft from beach grass/vegetation, not in dune areas, and not during staffed lifeguard hours in season. Can you swim at Red River Beach?
Swimming allowed in designated areas. Scuba diving, skindiving, and all other methods of underwater swimming are prohibited in designated swimming areas. Fishing is not permitted in designated swim areas when Lifeguards are on duty.
Are dogs allowed?
No animals or pets are permitted on any beaches between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Exception: Red River Beach allows dog walking in the parking lot area only from dawn to 9:00 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to dusk.
