72 Topstone Rd. Official rules: use of the permanent grills installed in Topstone Park is only permitted with prior authorization from Park and Recreation personnel — patrons may not bring personal, portable grills to Topstone Park. Fires elsewhere in the park are banned outright.

SwimmingLifeguard Swimming is permitted in designated Beach areas during the Beach season when lifeguards are on duty. Only swimmers able to swim to and from floating docks unassisted may use docks. Preschoolers and non-swimmers must be within arm's reach of an adult at all times.
FishingNo Fishing is only permitted in authorized areas of Topstone Park; there is no fishing permitted from Topstone Beach unless authorized by Redding Park and Recreation staff.
AlcoholNo The consumption of alcohol is not permitted in the Park at any time without authorization of the Redding Park and Recreation Director and after required forms and deposits have been obtained.
DogsLeash Dogs must be leashed while visiting Topstone Park. Dogs are not permitted in the Topstone Playscape area. All animals are prohibited from the Topstone Beach between May 15 and Labor Day. Dogs may only swim in the designated McGee's Dog Park area.

Hours

  • The Topstone Park street entrance gate is open October 1 until early May, allowing patrons the convenience of driving to the main parking lot. However, gate may remain closed during winter heavy snowfalls when plowing is limited or ice is present, and during late summer and early spring to discourage access to unguarded swimming.
