Can you grill at Topstone Park?
Yes — both propane and charcoal grilling are allowed at Topstone Park. Grills are already provided on site. Prior authorization from Redding Park & Recreation staff required to use the permanent grills; personal/portable grills of any kind are prohibited. Can you swim at Topstone Park?
Swimming is permitted in designated Beach areas during the Beach season when lifeguards are on duty. Only swimmers able to swim to and from floating docks unassisted may use docks. Preschoolers and non-swimmers must be within arm's reach of an adult at all times.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs must be leashed while visiting Topstone Park. Dogs are not permitted in the Topstone Playscape area. All animals are prohibited from the Topstone Beach between May 15 and Labor Day. Dogs may only swim in the designated McGee's Dog Park area.
What are the hours at Topstone Park?
The Topstone Park street entrance gate is open October 1 until early May, allowing patrons the convenience of driving to the main parking lot. However, gate may remain closed during winter heavy snowfalls when plowing is limited or ice is present, and during late summer and early spring to discourage access to unguarded swimming.
